Tech Lead

Chafic is responsible for SORDI’s AI technological innovation and applied practices, including the simulation, generation pipeline, and quality assurance. He also focuses on democratizing AI and making it available for everyone! Chafic is a researcher in computer vision, generative models, and synthetic data for smart industries.

Innovation Strategy Lead

Daniel oversees the development, communication and execution of strategic initiatives to achieve new usecases for the Dataset and the toolchain behind it. He directs research projects across multiple subteams and drives strategy creation. Creating content for new proofs of concept and desinging strategic roadmaps for innovation are some of his tasks. His independent thinking lead to the founding of the project GREEN PHYSICS AI.

Infrastructure IT Lead

Sebastian Heim is a senior member of the BMW TechOffice Munich. He handles all the problems regarding operations, servers and hardware infrastructure, in addition to maintenance, and communications that need solving. His assitance is essential for any networking infrastructure changes.

DevOps Lead

Hadi implements processes and possesses a comprehensive knowledge of various tools and technologies to automate manual tasks, facilitating the seamless development and deployment of code and data while establishing robust continuous deployment and continuous integration frameworks. Plus, he ensures the reliability of SORDI.ai operations.

R&D Lead

Working at BMW's TechOffice in Munich, Anthony oversees reasearch and innovation activities. He is responsible for improving already existing processes and creating new research activities. As a researcher, Anthony is focused on machine learning for 3D computer vision.

Simulation Lead

Joe is responsible for creating robust and physically accurate simulations to generate synthetic datasets. He is a researcher working on analyzing industrial assets’ physical behaviors in a virtual factory for a realistic and more efficient synthetic data generation.

Data Analytics Lead

Thomas leverages advanced data-driven techniques to uncover valuable insights, optimize business processes, and develop innovative solutions that automate and streamline strategic operations, leading to improved efficiency and productivity. His skills span areas such as Computer Vision, Optimization, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Graph Data, enabling him to tackle complex challenges and deliver impactful results.

Digital Design Lead

Based in Munich, Australian designer Dylan Sheppard is Digital Design Lead at idealworks, a wholly owned BMW Group subsidiary. Dylan joined idealworks as a founding member after three years at BMW AG, where he led an international team in the design and delivery of digital experiences – coordinating impactful projects with teams including BMW Motorrad and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

AI Operations Lead

Kay is responsible for proposing and conducting Proofs of Concept (PoC) and Proofs of Value (PoV) activities to ensure innovative solutions can be adopted globally and meet the business need. He creates, reviews and challenges defined IT related internal standards, acts as single point of contact and collaborates closely with architects, incident management team and other infrastructure service lines.
